I'm so thankful for Heather! She was always a positive light when I was pregnant in 2022-2023 with my daughter. She always answered any questions that I had even when I was a bit nervous making sure everything was okay when I was baking my sweet baby. She worked right beside Dr. Erin Mateer and she always helped me feel calm and knowing that I can ask her anything I felt more at peace that I was in great hands! She will make an amazing doula. I'm excited for her journey and wish her the best, I will definitely use her when I have my next child. Here is her at my first appointment after I had my daughter at the OBGYN. Thank you Heather for all you did and do everyday!

Heather was present for the birth of my daughter and son. I wouldn’t have asked her to be there a second time if she wasn’t helpful the first. I must say, our second experience was even better than the first! I’m extremely grateful she could be there both times. She helped me with breathing while pushing which was soooo helpful because I felt like I was going to faint doing it myself. She gave me the option to squeeze her hand during painful moments, spoke in an angelic/calm voice when guiding me through everything, and respected my decision on not receiving Pitocin. She did give me scenarios where she would recommend Pitocin, but no peer pressure. As a result of not receiving Pitocin, she gave advice on how to dilate quicker and naturally because my water had already broken hours prior. She walked the halls with me, helped me stretch & squat, got me warm cloths and anything that was needed. I would like to add that I had a vaginal delivery - all natural without any pain meds & epidural. Overall 10/10 experience & highly recommend her services. I appreciate Heather for respecting my birth plan!! She brought peaceful energy.

“Although Heather was not an active Doula during my second pregnancy she was the medical assistant that made me feel seen, brought me comfort every time I stepped foot in the office not only during my pregnancy but also every visit after delivery. I can only imagine having her in the room would have brought myself, Tyler and even Carson peace, that’s just what she does she being a calmness that cannot be taught or trained into someone. She is passionate and you can fill that in all that she does.
Long winded I know but I must say my two week check up with Carson was my first outing without my husband and I was BEATING MYSELF UP because I wasn’t successfully breast feeding, I was low and felt like an awful mother Heather took an extra 30+ minutes with me to reassure me a fed baby is a healthy baby. She gave me a great booklet full of resources helped me find a lactation consultant she did far more than she was obligated to do. She is educated and compassionate, THAT IS JUST HER NATURE! If you choose her as your doula I promise you will not regret it.

Having Heather as my doula was one of the best decisions I made for my pregnancy and birth. From the very beginning, she was caring, professional, and incredibly supportive. She took the time to answer all of my questions, helped me prepare emotionally and physically, and made me feel confident going into labor.
During labor, she was calm, reassuring, and always knew exactly what to say or do to make me feel more comfortable. She advocated for me when I needed it, supported my choices, and gave my partner guidance so he could be involved as well. I truly felt seen, heard, and cared for every step of the way. She took so many pictures before , during , and after. I don’t know what I would’ve done if she hadn’t, she captured every moment. It’s so amazing to look back at
Her presence made such a difference in my birth experience—I can’t imagine going through it without her. If you are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, compassionate, and fully dedicated to supporting you, I highly recommend Heather with New Roots Doula Services.

I met Heather at the end of my pregnancy and she jumped in no problem to be my doula! She met with me online to discuss what I wanted as far as my birth plan went and drafted it up for me. My induction turned into a c section and she came and talked to me about it and offered support. It was nice to have someone to vent to and be there for me. She unfortunately was not allowed to be in during my c section but she was there after and was a good support. She checked in on me via text also after. Highly recommend, especially if you have Medicaid and want a doula!

Heather was not only there for my last baby but also the others as well . I think we inspired auntie Heather to be the doula she is today ! When I asked her as a friend / coworker / one of my best friends to catch my baby as she came out she was readyyy and didn’t miss a beat ! Not only did she be with me and support me through my whole pregnancy’s mentally and physically ; she was there at the hospital literally through everything ! From helping move the nst when the baby moved to changing positions in the bed & walking around to get the baby out. She’s not only a doula but by the time she’s done with helping you weather it’s answering your questions about your pregnancy or being in the delivery room for support , you won’t forget her and maybe even want to be her friend for a lifetime I could say sooo much more but it would be a book ! If you get this far with reading my review trust me on this one 10000/10 the best doula you’ll ever have.
